چکیده

The mechanism of internal transport barrier (ITB) collapse in the reversed magnetic shear configuration is investigated using a global Ion Temperature Gradient driven drift wave (ITG) turbulence code. The heating source and the Toroidal Momentum Source (TMS) is introduced to follow the selfconsistent evolution of the ion temperature and flow profiles. The Toroidal Flow Shear (TFS) effect on the dynamics of ITB evolution is clarified. It is found that the lifetime of ITB depends on the total flow shear, i.e., the equilibrium flow shear determined by TMS and the ITG turbulence driven flow shear.

Multi-scale Interaction between MHD, Turbulence and Transport in Tokamak Plasmas

The recent achievement in the simulation study of multi-scale interaction among MHD, turbulence and transport is reported. Firstly, we discuss the formation and collapse of Internal Transport Barrier (ITB) in Tokamaks. The meso-scale structures are generated by three-wave interaction among drift wave turbulence. These structures interact each other, which generate the global mode around barrier...

Theoretical computation of the quantum transport of zigzag mono-layer Graphenes with various z-direction widths

The quantum transport computations have been carried on four different width of zigzag graphene using a nonequilibrium Green’s function method combined with density functional theory. The computed properties are included transmittance spectrum, electrical current and quantum conductance at the 0.3V as bias voltage.  The considered systems were composed from one-layer graphene sheets differing w...

In Silico Modeling of Blood-Brain Barrier: Agent-Based Simulation of Cerebral Glucose Transport

We present a hierarchical agent-directed, agent-based model of the blood-brain barrier (BBB) and use it to simulate cerebral glucose transport. The BBB consists of brain capillary endothelial cells that are joined by tight junctions. The contiguous layer of endothelium protects the brain against harmful blood-borne substances, while simultaneously providing a pathway for the transport of metabo...

Double Transport Barrier Plasmas in Alcator C-Mod

Double transport barrier plasmas comprised of an edge enhanced Dα (EDA) H-mode pedestal and an internal transport barrier (ITB) have been observed in Alcator C-Mod. The ITB can be routinely produced in ICRF heated plasmas by locating the wave resonance off-axis near |r/a| ∼ 0.5, provided the target plasma average density is above ∼1.4 × 10/m, and can develop spontaneously in some Ohmic H-mode d...
